Mrs. Cripe was a 1939 graduate of Central Missouri State Teachers College, in Warrensburg and went on to work as an art and home economics High School Teacher, retiring after 29 years. She lived most of her life in the Sedalia area and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include, two daughters, Connie J. Post and her husband Pete, of Lone Jack, and Nancy R. Chenevey and her husband Jack, of Homeworth, Ohio; a son, Kenny R. Cripe and his wife Sherelene, of Sedalia; nine grandchildren, Kelly, Tammy, Holly, Amy, Chelsea, Mike, Jeff, Shawn and Stacy; thirteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, Milton, Glen, and Carl Chamberlin; three sisters, Helen Chamberlin, Pauline Chamberlin and Ethel Harvey.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Heckart Funeral Home, with Dr. Drew Hill officiating.
Burial will be in La Monte Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Alma Ruth Cripe, 93, of Sedalia, passed peacefully Monday, November 17, 2008, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born August 17, 1915, in Houstonia, Missouri a daughter of Jason and Clara Thorton Chamberlin. In March of 1940, in Osceola, Missouri, she married Bill E. Cripe, who died July 4, 1985.
