Mr. Fox was a retired veteran of the United States Marine Corp. serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #642 and Veteran of Foreign Wars Post #2591.  He had lived in Sedalia all of his life.

Also surviving are two sons, Richard Fox and Mike Fox, both of Sedalia; four daughters, Georgia Young, Debbie Arnold, Terri Murray and June Fox, all of Sedalia; two half brothers, Freddie Fox and Robert Fox, both of Sedalia; two half sisters, Linda Fox, of Sedalia and Pauline Fox, of Springfield; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Wessel; a brother, Marvin Fox; and two half brothers, Cecil Self and Billy Fox.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2008 at Heckart Funeral Home, with Rev. Sid Mabry officiating.

Pallbearers will be David Murray, Tim Carpenter, David Arnold, Larry Morton, Morgan Young and John Petty.

Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens with Veteran of Foreign Wars Post #2591 conducting full military honors.

Harold E. Fox, 79, of Sedalia, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born August 10, 1928, in Sedalia, a son of Everett and Ina M. Self Fox. On October 4, 1952, in Sedalia, he married Shirley D. Flack, who survives of the home.
