Ashton liked to help her Dad on the farm and loved to deer and turkey hunt and fish with her Dad. She liked riding an ATV, listening to music, loved being with friends and family. As a A+ program student she liked to mentor students. She also liked to mentor incoming freshmen students. Her lifelong dream was to become a grade school teacher. Ashton played volleyball and was a member of National Honor Society, FBLA, and FCCLA. She was an organ donor. Ashton was employed at Long John Silver’s. She was very proud of her Chickasaw Indian Heritage.
Survivors include her parents of the home, a sister, Savanah Hudson, also of the home., her paternal grandparents, Larry & Sharon Hudson, Smithton, Jim and JoAnn Hatch, Lincoln, maternal grandmother, Jo Ellen Snapp, Smithton and paternal great-grandmother, Irene Pauley, Houstonia. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Roy Snapp.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2008 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Martin officiating.
Pallbearers will be Mike Hudson, Todd Hudson, Trent Snapp, Colby Snapp, Austin Marcum, Adam Marcum, Tyler Wilson, Thatcher Wehmeyer and Austin Rasa.
Honorary pallbearers will be Morgan and Kelly Marriott and her Sophomore Classmates.
Burial will be in Florence, Mo cemetery.
The family suggests contributions to the Ashton Quenn Hudson Memorial Scholarship at Morgan County R-1 School District.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Heckart Funeral Home.
Ashton Quenn Hudson, 16, of Florence died Sunday, June 8, 2008 at University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia.
Ashton was born July 29, 1991 in Sedalia a daughter of Quentin Lee and Monica Sue Snapp Hudson.
