Mrs. Walker was a member of Berea Christian Church, Nelson, MO. She was employed as a general office worker at International Shoe Company Marshall, MO., for 35 years. Mabel enjoyed crafts, quilting, ceramics and woodworking.

Mabel is survived by a daughter, Dixie Dart and her husband Bob, of Elizabethtown, IL.

Mabel is also survived by four sisters, Lona Courtney of Oskaloosaq, KS., Connie Bellis of Paso Robles, CA., LaVina (Ann) Neale of Fayetteville, AR., Darlene (Nancy) Pepper of Columbia, MO. three brothers, John Cornine, Jr. of Marshall, MO., J.R. "Jake"   Cornine of Houstonia., Delmar Cornine of Houstonia.

She is also survived by a granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn May; and three great grandsons, Seth, Gabriel and Josey; a great granddaughter, Rebecca May.

She was predeceased in death by a sister, Della Jane (Jannie) Mercer

Funeral services will be at Heckart Funeral Home, Sedalia, MO, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 11th,  with Rev. Don Simmons officiating.

Pallbearers will be Rick Cornine, Mike Cornine, Gene Cornine, Jim Cornine, Bill Story, Seth May, Jared Walker, and Mark Walker.

Honorary bearers will be Gabriel Kenemer, Josey Walker Graves, Wayne Neale and Tim Cornine.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Berea Cemetery.

Mrs. Mabel  Walker, 82, of  Sedalia, formerly of Nelson,  passed away, Thursday, February 7th, 2008 at her home.

Mabel was born in Houstonia, Missouri on January 13, 1926, the daughter of the late John R. and Ida Mae (Mullins) Cornine. On November 26, 1945, in Sedalia, she married Charles Raymond Walker, who passed away on October 11, 2006.
