Robert Gene “Nick” Nicholson, 78, of Sedalia, died Saturday, July 14, 2007, at his home.

He was born March 17, 1929, in Sedalia, a son of Clarence and Violet Nye
Nicholson. On July 10, 1976, in Sedalia, he married Janice Landon, who survives of thehome.

Mr. Nicholson was a member of the Blind of Central Missouri. He worked forHurtt’s Pharmacy for thirty three years, retiring in 1977. He was a United States ArmyVeteran serving in the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending timewith his family and had lived in Sedalia all of his life.

Also surviving are a daughter, Sherri Norton and her husband Ronnie, of Sedalia;two step sons, Robert Barnier and Richard Barnier and his wife Jennifer all of Sedalia;four grandchildren, Richard Barnier, Stephanie Barnier, Bailey Norton and JoeyNorton; a brother, William Nicholson, of Sedalia. He was predeceased by his parents.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2007, atMissouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville with Rev Tony Chapman officiating.Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2591 will conduct full military honors at the grave site.

The family will have  a time of fellowship with friends and family at 6:00 p.m.
