Ray Clifton Crouch, 85, of Sedalia died Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born July 19, 1922 near Edwards, Mo. a son of Everett and Gertrude Flippin Crouch. On June 21, 1942, in Edwards, MO. Mr. Crouch married Avery Dority who survives of the home.

Mr. Crouch worked at Fingland Glass Co. for 35 years as a glazier. After retirement he enjoyed his farm and wood working shop. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist for oer 50 years and enjoyed ushering at the first service. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the 94th calvary.

Survivors include a daughter, Jane Caldwell and her husband David, Sedalia; a sister-in-law, Nellie Crouch, Independence; two nephews, Tim Crouch and Kevin Thomas and five  nieces, Tammy Hull, Joyce Cass, Vicki Riley, Veta Lasater and Mary Jo Hutchins. He was predeceased by four brothers, David, Joseph, Francis and Ernest Crouch and two sisters, Evelyn Thomas and Rita Crouch.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 24 at Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Michael Lockhart officiating.

Pallbearers will be members of the Smith-Cotton Jr. ROTC. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Blatterman, Brian Blatterman, Chris Smith, Larry Dority, Matthew Dority ,Don Dority, Brent Lasater, Rick Dority, Jacob Dority, Tim Crouch and Phil Hull.

There will be no visitation.

The family suggests contributions to the Dority Cemetery in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
