Mrs. Hill worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for many years, retiring in 1957. She then worked several years for Bothwell Hospital and from 1954 through 1995 she owned Hill Construction Co.

Survivors include two sons, Larry J. Hill and his wife Lynda, of Sedalia and David A. Hill and his wife Sharon, of Sedalia; a daughter, Linda L. Cook and her husband John, of Hamilton, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Julie, April, Harold, Holly, Connie and Victoria; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved care givers, Kathe Brandkamp and Kathe Kelley.

She was also predeceased by five brothers and four sisters.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Drew Hill officiating.

Burial will be in at 10:00 a.m.  Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Church.

Ruth M. Hill, 90, of Sedalia, died Saturday, November 29, 2008, in Sedalia.

She was born December 3, 1917, in Syracuse, Missouri, a daughter, of Joseph G. and Mary Chilcoat Steele. On September 22, 1940, in Boonville, Missouri, she married Harold L. Hill, who preceded her in death on March 14, 1979.
