Prior to marriage and after graduating high school, Evelyn taught elementary
school. She also owned The Pumpkin Patch and was a Tupperware saleslady. She
enjoyed decorating cakes.
Also surviving are a son, Edwin “Willie” Ady, of the home; a daughter, Janette
Craig, and her husband, John, of Shawnee, Kan.; three brothers, George Bunnell, and
his wife, Yvonne, of Oxford, Neb., Clarence Bunnell, and his wife, Rose, of Fountain,
Colo., and Billy Bunnell, and his wife, Mercy, of Beverly, Neb.; a grandson, John
Craig, and his wife, Amy, of Olathe, Kan.; two great granddaughters, Lauren and
Caitlin Craig, of Olathe, Kan.; and a step granddaughter, Heather Thompson, of
Kansas City.
She was predeceased by a son, Edward J. Ady; a sister, Wilma Hovey; and a
brother, Ray Bunnell.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial
Chapel, with John Craig II officiating.
Pallbearers will be Loy Holman, Bobby Dunsday, Foster McGuire, John Craig
and John Craig II.
Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the
funeral home.
