Mr. Allee was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of
World War II, serving in the Rhineland Campaign. He was founding owner of Allee’s A&A Service. He was a General Motors master technician and was known for his expertise on Corvairs. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Also surviving are a son, Loyd Stephen Allee, and his wife, Mellody, of Sedalia;
two daughters, Deborah Louise Burkhardt, and her husband, Dave, of Independence, and Cynthia Lois Schnelle, and her husband, David, of Sanford, Fla.; three sisters, Lucille Tucker, of Columbia, Bernice Smith, of Blue Springs, and Betty Jean Jett, of Stover; five grandchildren, Joshua Christian Allee, Jana Christine Allee, Marcus Owen Schnelle, Jill Lynn Schnelle and Diana Lynn Burkhardt; and one great grandson, Braden Cole Allee.
He was predeceased by an infant son; his parents; four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Justin Dix and the Rev. Jimmy Gear officiating.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Allee, Marcus Schnelle, Duane Smith, Dave Burkhardt, Bob Karbinas and Bob Knight.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, with military honors by Veterans of
Foreign Wars Post 2591.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Faith Baptist Church or Bothwell Hospice.
Loyd Franklin Allee, 79, of Sedalia, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at his home.
He was born Feb. 26, 1926, in Marvin, Missouri, a son of William Thomas and Sarah Bethel Burkhart Allee. On Sept. 14, 1946, in Kansas City, Kan., he was married to Elsie Louise Hosey, who survives of the home.
