Lawrence "Larry" S. Amato, 71, of Sedalia, died Friday, January 3, 2004 at the Rest Haven Convalescent Home.
He was born November 30, 1932, in Toronto, Canada. He was raised by his grandmother.
Mr. Amato attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 642 in Sedalia. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed woodworking and visiting different casinos. He had lived most of his life in Sedalia.
Survivors include a son, Lawrence Robert Amato, of Brooklyn, New York; and a daughter, Maria Lisa Mikol, of Queens, New York; two grandchildren, both of Queens, New York; and his companion Sarah Zimmerman, of Sedalia.
There will be no funeral services or family visitation. Burial will be at a later date.
