Mrs. Ash was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and Sedalia Chapter
Order of the Eastern Star. She worked at Town and Country Shoes for 32 years. She enjoyed her family, quilting, crocheting and sewing.
Surviving are a son, Keith Ash, of Florida; nine grandchildren; three step
grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and six step great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two daughters, Shirley Gordon and Sharon Stephens; a son, William, in infancy; a brother, William Houk; and three sisters, Lucille Miller, Leah Murphy and Hazel Robbins.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2006, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Bruce Campbell officiating.
Pallbearers will be Michael Fischer, Nicholas Fischer, Anthony Schwartz, Dennis Fisher, Clayton Stephens and Mary Ellen Sumner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sandy Fischer, Elaine Fischer, Nicole Albin, Suzann Fisher, Danielle Fischer, Amanda Fischer, Christina Bakert, Brent Schultz, Chastity Schwartz, Bailey Schwartz, Allie Schwartz, Jacob Okabayashi, Michael Fisher and Zachary Fisher.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at Heckart/Gillespie
Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
Eula Fae Ash, 88, of La Monte, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Cole Camp.
She was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Johnson County, a daughter of John Henry and Gracie Kearn Houk. On July 23, 1936, in Warrensburg, she was married to William Henry Ash, who died Nov. 21, 1987.
