Mrs. Atkinson enjoyed reading, crafts, scrapbooking, sewing, church activities,
and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is a Pentecostal.

Also surviving are a son, Paul W. White, and his wife, Christina, of Sedalia; a
daughter, Elizabeth L. Silverest, and her husband, Curtis, of Sedalia; two steps sons, Clayton Atkinson, and his wife, Glenda, of Grand Forks, N.D., and Breck Atkinson, and his wife, Trisha, of Sedalia; two step daughters, Lori Silcox, of Crockston, Minn., and Brenda Walters, and her husband, Dan, of Dickinson, N.D.; her parents, of Sedalia; a brother, Jimmy Hughes, of Searcy, Ark.; a sister, Donna Hughes, of Sedalia; and 13 grandchildren, Will White, Hayden White, Stephen Atkinson, Sabrina Atkinson, Jacob Reese, Valerie Reese, Sienna Atkinson, Sierra Atkinson, Lee Silcox, Katie Silcox, Joel Walters, Seth Walters and Leah Walters.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2005, at Heckart/ Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. R.L. Gilstrap and the Rev. E. Dewayne Jackson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Adam Belt, Paul Neel, Anthony Hughes, Art Thompson,
Ricky Inman, Billy Howard, David Dudley and Paul Albin.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, in
care of the funeral home.
Debra Ann Atkinson, 53, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, September 7, 2005, at her home.

She was born March 29, 1952, in California, Missouri, a daughter of Oliver J. and Byrdia Murray Hughes. On September 14, 1992, in Miami, Okla., she was married to Donald R. Atkinson, who survives of the home.
