Donald Warren Baldwin, 71, of Sedalia, died Friday, December 5, 2003 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born January 14, 1932, in Pettis County, son of John B. and Zelphia Bishop Baldwin. On August 7, 1957, in Clifton City, he married Elizabeth R. Vardeman, who died February 17, 2002.
Mr. Baldwin was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591, American Legion Post 642, Elks Lodge BPOE, and was a Scottish Rite Mason. He retired in 1979 after 30 years of service in the United States Army with the rank Sergeant Major. After retiring he worked for Waterloo Industries.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Hartley, of Sedalia, and Lynn Naylor, of Warsaw; two sons, Dee Baldwin, of Aurora, Colorado, and Tracy Baldwin, of Independence; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Edith Blake, of Sedalia.
Memorial services and burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 13 at Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Talley officiating. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591 will present military rites at the graveside.
