Jane Banning, 76, of Sedalia, died Thursday, April 15, 2004 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born May 20, 1927, in Montgomery County, Missouri, daughter of Fred and Emma Lee Summers Kolling. On April 25, 1956, in Sedalia, she married Ralph W. Banning, who survives of the home.

Mrs. Banning was a member of Broadway Presbyterian Church. She had worked as a proofreader for the Sedalia Democrat and as a secretary for the Wray Schroeder and Mac McMillin State Farm Insurance agencies, retiring in 1991.

Also surviving are a son, Rob Banning, and his wife, Susan; and two grandchildren, Shelley and Ryan Banning, all of St. Louis.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2004 at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Vicki Rucker officiating.

Pallbearers will be Mac McMillin, Kevin Schroeder, Wiley Walter, Joe Waters, J.W. Rissler and Norman Klein.

Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call after 12 noon Sunday, April 18, 2004 at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday.
