Barbara Ann Day, 52, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009, at her home.
She was born November 30, 1956, in Kansas City, MO, a daughter of Troy V. and Mary E. Gash Johnson. On September 20, 1992, in Knob Noster, she married Paul E. Day, who survives of the home.
Barbara was a loving wife, mother and sister. She enjoyed writing poetry and reminiscing about her childhood. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She had worked at Royal Oaks Hospital in Windsor, and in shipping and receiving in Florida.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jason Stultz and Michael Petrisin, both of Florida; a daughter, Jennifer Parvin, of Florida; two brothers, M.C. Johnson, of Calhoun, and Jim Johnson, of Sedalia; a sister, Pennie Wisdom, of Calhoun; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Parvin, Ryan Parvin and Brianna Sweetland-Stultz; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating.
Burial will be in Calhoun Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Heckart Funeral Home.
