Ruth L. Beard, 96, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at Fair View Nursing Home.
She was born Dec. 21, 1910, in White Lakes, S.D., a daughter of Frank J. and
Edith Mae Fort LaMore. In 1944, in Marshall, she was married to A. Frank Beard, who died in 1973.
Mrs. Beard was a sewing machine operator at Weber Shoe. She was a member
of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Donna Smith; a nephew, Robert LaMore, and his wife, Jenny, of St. Louis; and two nieces, Patricia Otto and Penny Broderick, both of
St. Louis; and a friend, Debby Young, of Sedalia.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Mrs. Dean Rollins; and two brothers, Francis LaMore and Loren LaMore.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2007, at Crown Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Donald J. Allcorn officiating.
There will be no visitation.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Sacred Heart Church.
