Laura L. Bishop, 55, of Sedalia, died Friday, March 21, 2003, at Four Seasons Living Center. 

She was born August 23, 1947, in Clinton, daughter of Paul F. and Dorothy Schroeder Harms. On May 27, 1978, in Wyoming, she married David Bishop, who survives of the home.

Mrs. Bishop was a member of the VFW Post 2591 Auxiliary and the American Legion # 642 Auxiliary.  She worked for Rival Manufacturing.  She loved her pets and flowers.

Also surviving are two sons, Paul Perkins of Clifton City and John Perkins of Sedalia; a daughter, Peggy Garrison of Sedalia; a grandson; and two brothers, James Harms of Sedalia and Gary Harms of Topeka, KS.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m.. Tuesday at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home with the Rev. Rodney Brown officiating. 

Pallbearers will be Richard Bishop, James Harms, Bob Bishop, Ray Bell, Pete Cramer, and Ronnie Shaw. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Floyd Flippin, Darrell Bishop, and Hollis Bell.

Burial will be in the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Higginsville.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Monday at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, where friends may call after 8 a.m. Monday.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Capitol Comprehensive Cancer Care Clinic and Research Institute in care of the funeral home.
