Bernarr “Jack” Bluhm, 65, of Smithton, died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Bothwell
Regional Health Center.

He was born Oct. 7, 1941, in Sedalia, a son of Bernarr and Maurine Streit Bluhm.

Jack was baptized at Smithton United Methodist Church and has remained a
member all his life. He attended church until his health failed. Then he enjoyed listening to the tapes of the church service each Sunday.

Jack was in the lumber business most of his life and attended the Ewing Vocational Center the last few years. He enjoyed aquatics at Children’s Therapy Center for many years and painting activities at the vocational center.

He was known and loved by the many customers of Bluhm Lumber Company in
Smithton. He always enjoyed seeing and visiting with them. He was an avid Chiefs football and MU basketball fan.

Surviving are his mother, Maurine Bluhm, of Smithton; some cousins; and many,
many friends. He was predeceased by his father, Bernarr Bluhm; and a brother, Terry Allen, who died in infancy.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the
Rev. Dan Page officiating.

Pallbearers will be Karl Kasak, Delbert Smith, David Lewis, Frank Gronstedt,
Gabe Jenkins and Tim Allee.

Honorary pallbearers will be Leslie Brown, Holly Rowlette, Libby Mark, Carol
Keele, Claire DeWitt, Jan Proctor and LeAnn Rasa.

Burial will be in Smithton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
