Kalo Emil Bottcher, 84, of Sedalia, died Wednesday evening, April 14, 2004 at Bothwell Regional Health Center
He was born March 12, 1920, in Florence, Missouri, son of William F. and Minnie Bremer Bottcher. On June 28, 1941, in Sedalia, he married Velma Salmons.
Mr. Bottcher was a member of the Church of God in Florence. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He worked for Bings Grocery for 18 and a half years and worked for Kelsey Hayes until he retired in 1982.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Bottcher, of the home; two daughters, Carol Sutherland, of Schaumberg, IL, and Judy Pugh, of Sedalia; two sons, Jim Bottcher and Todd Bottcher, both of Sedalia; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence Bottcher, Lawrence Bottcher and Norman Bottcher.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17 at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. J. D. Reed officiating.
Pallbearers will be Brian Kirkpatrick, Gary Pugh, Brett Sutherland and Lee Sutherland.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday.
