January 7, 1967, in Sedalia, she was married to Gary Grotzinger. In 1972, in Miami, Okla., she was married to Luther D. Scott, who died earlier.
Ms. Brauer was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ. She enjoyed
spending time with her grandchildren. She was a life long member of Heart of
Missouri Girl Scouts since 1975, contributing her leadership skills to inspire young scouts to fulfill their goals. She traveled extensively in the United States and overseas with her family and Girl Scouts. She also enjoyed camping, canoeing, crocheting and collecting Campbell’s Soup memorabilia.
Surviving are three sons, Lee Grotzinger, and his wife, Denise, Donald
Grotzinger, and his wife, Tricia, and Karry Scott, all of Sedalia; a daughter, Devenia Self, and her husband, Marcus, of Sedalia; a step son, Ricky Scott, and his wife, Anita, of Maxville, Kan.; her mother, of Sedalia; a sister, Connie Grotzinger, of Sedalia; six grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her father; a brother, Jerry Brauer; and a sister, Linda
Brauer.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2005, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Brady E. Abel officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bill Altis, Brian Altis, Travis Grotzinger, Denny Altis, Larry
Ward and Andrew Ellis. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Galloway, Benny
Galloway, Rocky Galloway and David Button.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
