Georgia Lee Braungardt, 81, of Sedalia, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Bothwell Regional
Health Center.

She was born April 21, 1927, in Kansas City, a daughter of Millard and Elainor O’Hare Boren.
On August 22, 1947, in Kansas City, She was married to Cordes W. Horstman. On October 25, 1985,
in Stover, she was married to Fred Braungardt, who died March 3, 1998.

In late 1942, she and her family moved to Kansas City, where she completed her high schol
education. After graduation she went to work in the Vocational Rehabilitation and Education
Division of the Veteran Administration in Kansas City. She later move to Sedalia and worked in the
contracting office at Whiteman Air Force Base, where she retired in May 1987. She and her husband
owned and operated the Aloha Tone Tanning Salon in Sedalia.

She was a member of Parkview Christian Church and  past member of Women of the Moose

Survivors include a daughter, Kristy Jenkerson and her husband Dan, of St. Helens, Oregon;
three sons, Mark Horstman and his wife Marsha, of St. Joseph, David Horstman, of Sedalia, and John
Horstman and his wife Kim of Sedalia; a step-son, Mike Braungardt and his wife Jill, Pittsfield, IL; a
step daughter, Pam Gordy, of Centralia, MO; five grandchildren, four step grandchildren; a great
granddaughter, two step great grandchildren; a brother, Ervin Boren, of Weaubleau, MO; and two
sisters, Pearl Jean Daugherty, of Arlington, TX and Euladeen Bernard, Sweet Springs, MO.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, at Heckart Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney
Brown officiating.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dan Jenkerson, Kevin Bernard, Bob Bernard, Alan Bernard, John Boren, Gary Boren and Wayne Boren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Parkview Christian Church.
