Ms. Buckner worked at the front counter at Hardee’s east for fifteen years. She was a member of the Human Rights Commission and served on the Anthony Buckner board. She loved her children and grandchildren and their activities. She was a social activist.

Survivors include a son, Jeff Buckner, of Sedalia; three daughters, Vicki Moore, of Independence, Denise Banning, of Lawson, and Monica Thomas, of Sedalia; six grandsons, Christopher Thomas and Jeffrey Buckner, Jr., whom she raised, Terrell Buckner, Derrick Thomas, Andrew Moore, Michael Hutchison, Justin Hudson and John Banning; three granddaughters, Jade Buckner, Jessie Krabiel and Stephanie Hutchison; and two brothers, Tom Grey, of Las Vegas, and Charles Grey, of North Kansas City.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, November 26 at Crown Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Marvin Albright officiating.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Gilmore, Eddie Scroggins, Garland Hill, Michael
Lawson, Perry Webb and Brian Micheals. Honorary pallbearers will be Sharon Cochran, Debbie Riffle, Diane England, Rebecca McCollum, Emily Shultz, Gloria Buckner, Debbie Webb, Bonnie Ballance and Angie Scroggins.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Friday, November 26 at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to American Cancer Society or
Bothwell Hospice.
Sandra Sue Buckner, 64, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, November 24, 2004, at her home.

She was born June 19, 1940, in Weston, daughter of James S. and Jean M. Grey Riner.
