Vernon O. Burch, 91, of Sedalia, died Friday, May 27, 2005, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born March 28, 1914, in Leeds, Missouri, a son of William Coleman and Nancy Gertrude Lewis Burch. On March 17, 1944, in Sedalia, he was married to Gladys Hendricks, who died May 24, 1980.
Mr. Burch was a member of East Sedalia Baptist Church. He lived most of his life in Sedalia. He was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, of California; and several cousins.
He was predeceased by three sisters, Marie Hayman, Margaret Sears and Dorothy Burch; and a brother, Eddie Burch.
Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at Crown Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. H. Wayne Isgriggs officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to East Sedalia Baptist Church.
