V. Michael Burkhalter, 58, of Sedalia, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at Bothwell
Regional Health Center.
He was born March 26, 1949, in Sedalia, a son of Victor D. and Frances
Bretall Burkhalter. On Feb. 27, 1972, in Sedalia, he was married to DeeAnn Kasak, who survives of the home.
Mr. Burkhalter owned Burkhalter Implement Company. He was a member of
Tractor Pullers of Missouri. He started the Dream Factory Tractor Pull. He enjoyed farming, tractor pulling, fishing, and playing Pinochle and croquet. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Also surviving are two daughters, Heather Miller, and her husband, Scott, of
Ballwin, Mo., and Annie Funk, and her husband, Chad, of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Wade Burkhalter, of Sedalia; his mother, Frances Burkhalter, of Sedalia; a brother, Marvin Burkhalter, of Windsor; a sister, Vicki Burkhalter, of Illinois; and four grandchildren, Dawson, Brayla, Alex and Emma.
He was predeceased by his father.
Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Donald Burkhalter officiating.
Pallbearers will be Todd Zimmer, Todd Peck, Kent Scotten, Larry Wilson, Lloyd Heisterberg and Melvin Garrett.
