Earl Louis Burnett, 75, of Sedalia, died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born April 3, 1932, in Pettis County, a son of Earl Raymond and Ruth Louise Simon Burnett. On May 31, 1958, in Sedalia, he married Lou Eva Young who survives of the home.
Mr. Burnett was a member of United Church of Christ, American Legion Post#642. He was a former
member of Sedalia Moose Lodge #1494. He was a painter for the Missouri Pacific Railroad retiring in 1986. Earl loved all sports and especially baseball and auto racing and had lived in the Sedalia community all of his life.
Survivors include his wife Lou Eva Burnett, of the home; a son, Kevin Burnett
and his wife Kimberly, of St. Louis; three daughters, Deana Coppess and her husband
David, of Urbandale, IA, Laura Cramer and her husband Jason, of Sedalia and Nicole
Burnett, of Sedalia; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Burnett and Kenneth
Burnett; and a sister, Shirley Moriarty, all of Sedalia.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Bob Wasson officiating. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2591 will conduct military honors at the grave site.
Pallbearers will be Bart Moriarty, Duston Burnett, Troy Burnett, Nolan Simon,
Charles Young and Harry Young.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at
Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mid Missouri Humane Society.
