M. Meave Carl, 91, of Sedalia, went to be with her Lord and loved ones on Tuesday, February 1, 2005, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.

She was born September 27, 1913, in Kansas City, daughter of Allen and Gertrude Elizabeth Prewett Fitzpatrick. On November 4, 1934, in Kansas City, she married Henry T. Carl, who died in 1989. She was a loving wife, mother and friend.

Mrs. Carl worked at Brunson Instrument Company in Kansas City for 43 years. She moved to the Sedalia area after retiring in 1985. She was an active member of
First Baptist Church of Sedalia and a former member of First Baptist Church of Knob Noster. She was a member of International Order of King’s Daughters and Sons.

Survivors include a son, Theodore K. Carl, of Sedalia; a niece and four nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Fitzpatrick; and two sisters, Patricia Dethlefsen and Nancy Fitzpatrick.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Drew Hill officiating.

Burial will be at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.

There will be no family visitation. Friends may sign the guest register from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the funeral home.
