Clinton J. Muller, 93, formerly of Sedalia, died Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Saxony Village in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 6, 1916, in Scribner, Nebraska, a son of Adolph and Bertha Muller. On June 29, 1941, in Sedalia, he was married to Marjorie M. Morgan, who died May 21, 2006. For several years they lived in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he worked in the National Bank of Commerce.
After moving to Fremont, Nebraska, he worked for the Stephens National Bank and Midland College as business manager. In Sedalia, Mr. Muller and his wife were members of Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a registered member of Boy Scouts of America advisory board of the Great River Council. He received the Boy Scout Silver Beaver award in 1984. He was awarded the Lutheran Boy Scout National Lamb Award. He was a member of the Sedalia Chamber of Commerce, serving on several committees. He was president of the Meals on Wheels program for several years.
Mr. Muller and his wife owned Donnohue Loan and Investment, specializing in real estate, financial investments, and property management. Mr. Muller was a co-organizer and past president of the Sedalia Board of Realtors. He was a board member of the Salvation Army, and president of the Sedalia Knife and Fork Club.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Milton Muller; and one sister, Ila Jean Volpp. Survivors include one brother, Robert, and his wife, Virgene; one daughter, Sara Bell, and her husband, Dan; one son, Daniel Muller, and his wife, Carol; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Bell and Brian Wilson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Yvonne Marshall officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at Heckart Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Christ & Trinity Lutheran Church in Sedalia or St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
