Joe Elmer Cockrell, 58, of Sedalia, died Sunday, September 26, 2004, at his
home.

He was born July 25, 1946, in Ripley, Mississippi, son of Elmer and Grace
Floyde Cockrell.

Mr. Cockrell was a member of the Sedalia Christian Center. He was a
volunteer for the Lost Sheep Mission and the New Life Evangelistic Center Free Store. He enjoyed Levi, his Chihuahua, going to auctions and fishing.

Survivors include a son, Terry Joe Cockrell, of Sedalia; two daughters, Angela McKinzie and Melissa Cockrell, both of Ripley, Mississippi; two sisters,
Jean Carr, of Ripley, Mississippi, and Gracie Grimes, of Tremont, Mississippi; a brother, Billy Cockrell, of Memphis, Tennessee; and a granddaughter.

He was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Jack Menges officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
