Billy was baptized on October 4, 1970, at Faith Lutheran Church in Anderson, California. He attended school at Artesia School in Lakewood, California. While living in California, he installed a security system for actor Charlie Sheen. He moved to Missouri sixteen years ago. He currently worked for ABC Advertising. He was everyone’s handyman, especially his father and step-mother. He enjoyed archery, beaches, fishing and camping. He especially loved spending time with his niece and nephews.

Surviving are his father and step-mother, Gary and Bina Cooper, of Sedalia; two brothers, Ret SMSgt. Kevin Cooper (Leslie), and Steve Cooper (Heather); a sister, Lisa Goodwin (Matt); niece and nephews, Chris, Sara, and Kenneth Cooper, Dakota Waters, Brian Cooper, Tyler Slayden, Anthony and Andrew Torres, and Nikki Genter; three step-brothers, Rick Harvey (Karla), Steve Harvey (Jacklin), and Troy Harvey (Kim); step nieces and nephews, Stephanie and Bryan Harvey, Allison Harvey and Braxton Williams; his fiancé, Kristy Hill, and her children, Samuel, Stacy, Joseph and Ashley; and cousins, uncles and aunts.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and a nephew, Kevin Lee Cooper.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tony Chapman officiating. At Billy’s request, he will be cremated and his ashes spread at Huntington Beach, California.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the family.

Earl William "Billy" Cooper, 39, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at his home.

He was born May 28, 1969, in Redding, California, a son of Gary Lee and Maudie Smith Cooper.
