Ruth Cordry, 98, of Sedalia, died Sunday morning, May 4, 2003, at Four Seasons Living Center.
She was born February 13, 1905, in Brazilton, Kansas, daughter of Frank Joseph and Rosa W. Stelljes Miller. On April 28, 1928, in Sedalia, she married S.L. Cordry, who died February 12, 1994.
Mrs. Cordry was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, AARP and Jolly Elders. She was a graduate of Warrensburg State Teachers College. In 1929, she moved to Boulder, Colorado, and later moved to Sedalia in 1975. She had worked as office manager and agent for a real estate office.
Survivors include four nieces, Lucille Center of Denver, Colorado, Frances Smith of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Ruth Moss of Kansas City, Missouri, and Willa Brunkhorst of Denver, Colorado.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Monte Dunn officiating.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Tucker, Wayne Hutcheson, Tommie Klein, Herb Martin, Chris Meyer and Russell Vinson.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home. Friends may call until 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Bethany Baptist Church.
