Roy James Cotner, 82, of Smithton, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at Riverdale
Nursing Home in Boonville.
He was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Stedman, Okla., a son of A.L. and Georgie Williams Cotner. On Oct. 19, 1953, in Purcell, Okla., he was married to Marilyn Jo Faulkenberry, who survives of the home.
Mr. Cotner was a farmhand. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and being
outdoors.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lynda Rohr, and her husband, George, of
Smithton, and June Snapp, and her husband, Jaret, of Sedalia; three sons, Robert Cotner, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Delbert Phillips, and his wife, Pat, of Shawnee, Okla., and Jim Phillips, and his wife, Lyda, of Shawnee, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Richard Rohr, Michael Rohr, Matthew Rohr, Ryan Rohr, Alisha Huddleson, Trenton Snapp, Colby Snapp, Chelsie and Tiarra Snapp.
He was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel,
with the Rev. Dr. Donald J. Allcorn officiating.
Pallbearers will be Richard Rohr, Michael Rohr, Ryan Rohr, Matt Rohr, Trenton
Snapp, Colby Snapp and John McMullin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Layne Rohr, Jacob Rohr and Matthew Rohr II.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Florence.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the
