Church, where she served as an Elder and Superintendent of Sunday School. She was a member of Sorosis and IP Chapter of P.E.O. She worked at Bichsel Jewelry and Hopkins Interiors. She had lived in Sedalia since 1979.
Survivors include two sons, Anthony Cowen, and his wife, Darla, of Goddard,
Kan., and Michael Cowen, and his wife, Bobbie, of Sedalia; two daughters, Jennifer L.
Huhmann, and her husband, Joe, of Tipton, and Julia A. Martin, and her husband,
David, of Sedalia; two brothers, James Noland and Grant Noland, both of Toronto; two sisters, Jean Baker and Donalda Ayers, both of Toronto; and ten grandchildren, Kayla, Lindsey, Schyler, Kelsey, John, Zoë, Olivia, Grant, Gabby and Sophie. She was
predeceased by seven brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at Broadway Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Larry Wheeler and the Rev. Grant Noland officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the

Phyllis Elaine Cowen, 73, of Sedalia, died Thursday, March 23, 2006, at her home.
She was born Aug. 19, 1932, in Toronto, Canada, a daughter of John Henry and Mary Maclean Noland. On June 11, 1957, in Toronto, she was married to John Willard Cowen, who died Nov. 29, 1988.
Mrs. Cowen was a member of Broadway Presbyterian
