Clyde Emerson Crabtree, 82, of Sedalia, died Thursday, August 11, 2005, at
Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg.

He was born August 20, 1922, in Clinton, a son of Charles and Maude Holten
Crabtree.

Mr. Crabtree was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591. He had worked as a cook at Sedalia Country Club, Bothwell Hotel and Leroy’s Steakhouse.

Surviving are a sister, Rose Gamble, of Corpus Christi, Texas; two nieces,
Evelyn Richards, of Windsor, and Marilyn Cockrum, of Knob Noster; his
companion, Helen Cramer, of Sedalia; and those he thought of as his children, Jim Cramer, Jack Cramer and Sandy Johnson.

He was predeceased by a brother, Ray Crabtree.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2005, at Missouri
State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591 will conduct military honors at the graveside.

There will be no visitation.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Crossroads Hospice or the
Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg.
