Mabel Nadine Cross, 66, of Sedalia, died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at her home.

She was born January 7, 1938, in Sedalia, daughter of Wilburn Kirtley and Goldie Sara Stout Salmons. In July 1967, in Miami, Oklahoma, she was married to Robert B. Cross, who survives of the home.

Mrs. Cross was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, crocheting and her family. She had worked at Lamy Manufacturing and Interstate Studio.

Surviving are her husband, Bob Cross, of the home; three daughters, Nadine Kelly, of Godsnell, Arkansas, Sharon Hammond, of Sedalia, and Candie Fisher, Olathe, Kansas; three sons, Kirtley Kramer, of Sedalia, who is currently deployed in Baghdad, Iraq, Donald Kramer, Jr., of Mesquite, Texas, and Mike Kramer, of Windsor; her mother, Goldie Salmons, of Sedalia; two sisters, Evelyn Jurgenson, of Sedalia, and Georgia Hart, of Kansas City; two brothers, Charles Salmons and Kirtley Salmons, both of Sedalia; twelve grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Karen Christine Summers; and infant son, Robert Lee Kramer; two sisters, Joann Avey and Jessie Wright; and her father, Wilburn Kirtley Salmons.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 10 at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with Sam Young officiating.

Pallbearers will be Bob Cross, Jr., Ron Avey, Larry Hammond, John Hammond, Robbie DeWitt and Don Jurgenson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Morris and Keith Venable.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Sunday, May 9 at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
