Shirley Gail Crouch, 70, of Shawnee, Kan., died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, at Sweet Life at Rosehill Nursing Home in Shawnee. She had been ill for several years due to a chronic medical condition.

She was born on Dec. 22, 1936 in Sedalia, a daughter of Gordon and Hazel Cooper. On April 9, 1955, she was married to Lanny D. Crouch, who survives of the home. She graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1955. Shirley was well known and respected for her dedicated work over the years in the medical field. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends, and fishing and relaxing at her and Lanny’s retirement home at The Lake of the Ozarks.

Also surviving are a sister, Sandra McCormack, of Sedalia; four children, daughter Robbin Everett, and her husband, Stephen, of Republic, son Mark Crouch, and his wife, Vickey, of Shawnee, Kan., daughter Gail Arner, and her husband, Eric, of Lenexa, Kan., and son Stephen Crouch, and his wife, Kippy, of Peculiar; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2007, at Heckart Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.
