Beatrice Eileen Cummings, 83, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born March 24, 1921, in Gunn City, daughter of Roger and Susan Bowers.
Mrs. Cummings was a waitress at Flat Creek Inn for 25 years, retiring in 1962. She enjoyed flowers,
gardening, reading, her family, soap operas and her dog, Cookie. She lived in the Sedalia area most of her life. She was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Cummings, and his wife, Sharon, and
Gary Cummings, all of Sedalia; six grandchildren, Jeff Martin, Charles Martin,
Cynthia King, Michael Cummings, Becky Cummings and Pam Hayworth; and
twelve great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Cummings; four sisters,
Olive Erickson, Mildred Boggess, Ruth Bowers and Jay Cecil; and a brother, Charles Bowers.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2004, at Crown Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Russell Willoughby officiating.
Pallbearers will be Michael Cummings, Charles Martin, Josh King, Steve
Hayworth, Roger Pottoroff, Travis Snyder and Ernie King.
There will be no visitation. Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home.
