James Robert Dale, 79, of Hughesville, Missouri, died August 29, 2003 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born March 3, 1924, in Springfield, Missouri, son of John and Erma Fulkerson Dale. On July 2, 1949, in Mt. Grove, Missouri, he married Mary Irene Vail, who survives of the home.
Mr. Dale was an electrical lineman at Whiteman Air Force Base before he retired in 1987. He was a member of the Electrical Workers Union #53, in Kansas City, Missouri and the American Legion. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Dale of the home; four sons, Larry Dale of Reno, Nevada, Ronnie Dale of Ozark, Missouri, Gary Dale of Hughesville, and Brad Dale of Sedalia; a daughter, Sally Meyer of Hughesville; twelve grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Joni Meyer.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Hughesville High Point Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Richardson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Dale, Larry Dale, Gary Dale, Brad Dale and Alan Meyer.
There will be no family visitation
