Donald Eugene Allen, 81, of Sedalia, died Monday, August 8, 2005, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born February 20, 1924, in Cushing, Okla., a son of Jesse Clinton and
Edith Taylor Allen. On September 22, 1944, in Kansas City, Kan., he was married to Dorothy Lois Miller, who survives of the home.
Mr. Allen attended Faith Baptist Church. He was a truck driver for United Van Lines for 30 years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.
Also surviving are three daughters, Beverly Kehl, and her husband, Paul, of
Harrisburg, Denise Bilderback, and her husband, Rick, of Columbia, and Brenda
Diehl, of Columbia; two brothers, Bill Allen, of Cushing, Okla., and J.C. Allen, of
Vinita, Okla.; six grandchildren, Lucinda Hudlow, Brett Bilderback, Michael
Bilderback, Michelle Willis, Chris Bilderback and Heather Bilderback; and seven
great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by five brothers and three sisters.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2005, at Crown Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Talbot officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chris Bilderback, Brett Bilderback, Michael Bilderback, Brandon Willis, Tim Hudlow and Dave Goldsmith.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call after 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home,
where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
