Mr. Decker was an owner of a electronics and T. V. business. He was a former member of the First Baptist Church and liked motorcycles and tinker with things. He was also a gun collector and his daily coffee friends meant a lot to him Mr. Decker was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam war.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane and her husband Steven McMullin, Sedalia; a brother, Lloyd Decker, Sedalia, two granddaughters, Tarah and Katie McMullin; three great-granddaughters, Kameya and Kylee McMullin and Karley Kenney; his companion, Delores Trokey, St. Louis; four nephews and two nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Floyd Decker.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Heckart Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Boatman officiating.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Decker, Brandon Earls, Mark Earls, Kevin Long, Michael Morrison and Dewayne Setzer. Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Givens, Sonny Hobson, Millard Prewitt, James Posswog, Ron Sabourin, Gary Sedberry and Robert Wingenbach.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors at the graveside.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Heckart Funeral Home.
Clyde Eugene Decker, 65, formerly of Sedalia died Sunday February 17, 2008 at St. Louis University Hospital.
He was born in Sedalia on December 19, 1942 a son of Archie M. and Owna Mae Reed Decker. On September 24, 1961 in Harrisonville, Arkansas he married Judy Smith Schroder who survives.
