Paul Kenneth DeWitt, 48, of Kansas City, formerly of Sedalia, died Thursday, March 9, 2004 at his home.
He was born August 10, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, son of Roy A. and Donna Holman DeWitt.
Mr. DeWitt was an active member and loved by many at Antioch Bible Baptist Church and Hopewell Baptist Church. He is fondly remembered by friends at Tri-County Health Services. Paul never met a stranger and was an avid Kansas City sports fan and country music lover. His family loved him and he will always be remembered. He was a graduate of State Fair Community College where he earned an Associates Degree in Agriculture.
Survivors include his mother, Donna DeWitt VanBuren; sister, Pam Frantz, and her husband, Greg; a brother, Dave DeWitt, and his wife, Lisa; his grandmother, Wilma Holman; his uncle, Dennis Holman, and his wife, Donna; his aunt, Julie Triplett, and her husband, Homer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2004 at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Ed Broyles officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chad DeWitt, Harry Donnellan, Alan Hargis, Grant Holman, Rob Krueger and Rick Rodewald. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Hatfield, Dennis Holman, Bob Humble, Matt Krueger and Homer Triplett.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2004 at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel.
