Mr. Dotson was a member of First Baptist Church. He was an auto mechanic.
He was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved cooking and watching
television. He especially enjoyed visiting with his children, nieces and his nephew.
Survivors include a son, Dave W. Dotson, of Sedalia; two daughters, Ondrea
N. Dotson, of Sedalia, and Larissa A. Dotson, of Raytown; his mother and step
father, Alice and Albert Bruehl, of Sedalia; a sister, Janet M. Butler, of Raytown; a brother, Steven M. Dotson, of Columbia; his paternal grandmother, Lois Bohon Venable, of Warsaw; and several nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father on November 8, 1993; his maternal
grandparents, Harold and Mary Blaylock; and his paternal grandfather, Laurence Dotson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial
Chapel, with the Rev. Todd W. Butler officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve Rhoads, John W. Blaylock, Jeff Morris, Kenneth
Koeller, Dennis Warnke and Richard Morrison. Jeff Rhoads will be an honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Larry Alan Dotson, 39, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at his home.
He was born June 28, 1965, in Sedalia, son of Larry Joseph and Alice Blaylock Dotson. He was married to Tari L. Shull, who survives.
