Pauline Frances Douglas, 70, of Sedalia, died Sunday, August 15, 2004 at Four Seasons
Living Center.

She was born December 21, 1933, in Colorado Springs, Col., daughter of Francis Paul and Josephine Bertha Miller Capps. On January 12, 1950, in Colorado Springs, she was married to James Roscoe Douglas, who died March 10, 1982.

Mrs. Douglas lived in the Stover community for 18 years. She enjoyed cross stitching, word puzzles and reading.

Survivors include three sons, Edgar Douglas, of Sedalia, James Douglas, of Florence, and Steve Douglas, of Cole Camp; five daughters, Joanne McFail, of Sedalia, Angela Rogers, of Stover, Christina Downs, Tammy Lange and Shawna Comfort, all of Sedalia; 21 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; three brothers, William E. Capps, of Sedalia, John Capps, of Sterling, Col., and Bert Capps, of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sisters, Emma Smith and Martha Muehl, both of Springfield, and Barbara Lucas, of Sterling, Col.; and her companion, Kelly Merrell, of Sedalia.

She was predeceased by two daughters; a grandson, Chris Douglas; a brother; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Donald J. Allcorn officiating.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jesse Douglas, James Douglas, John Kurtz, Richard Kurtz, Douglas Downs, Michael Rogers, Brian Douglas and Steve Rayl.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kelly Merrell, Brad Lawson, Jeff Martin, Joe Menning and Justin Lange.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
