David Edsel Smith, 45, of Sedalia, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born Aug. 11, 1961, in Sedalia, a son of Gerald T. and Maysel Lucille Thomas Smith.
Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of Hughesville and Sedalia. He enjoyed tinkering with cars.
Survivors include his mother, Lucille Smith, of Hughesville; four brothers, Jerry Smith, of Hughesville, Donnie Smith, of Arkansas, Ronnie Smith, of Sedalia, and Kenny Smith, of Cameron; two sisters, Debbie Richardson, of Hughesville, and Connie Durrill, of Sedalia; and 17 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Sam Hinkle officiating.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Durrill, Dave Mellineaux, Brian Nicholson, Steve Nicholson, Gerald Todd and Hal Trokey.
Burial will be in Hughesville High Point Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
