Paula Corinne Edmundson, 92, of Sedalia, died Monday, August 4, 2003, at the Rest Haven Convalescent and Retirement Home.

She was born December 14, 1910, in Pettis County, daughter of Ernest and Anna Choplin Winston.  On February 23, 1932, she married James Cleo Rathburn, who is deceased and on September 12, 1959, she was married to Millard Edmundson.  They later divorced.

Ms. Edmundson was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.  At age thirteen she became a member of Blackwater Chapel and was baptized in the lake at Sweet Springs.  She was a 1929 graduate of Sweet Springs High School.  She worked at Lamy's Manufacturing Company for nineteen and a half years. 
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Donald Rathburn of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Gene Rathburn of Blue Springs, Missouri; a daughter, Maxine Flores of Sedalia; six grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and seven brothers, Dean, Wayne, Waldon, Kent, Sidney, Bruce and Harold Winston.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, at Blackwater Chapel Cemetery, with the Rev. Jeremy Vickers officiating.

Pallbearers will be Nick Smith, Nathan Smith, Ed Rathburn, Alan Rathburn, Harold Rathburn and Bob Forsyth. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Jared Bray, Caleb Bray, Lucas Smith and Zachary Rathburn.

The family will receive friends from 7:30-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5 at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, where friends may call after noon on Tuesday.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Blackwater Chapel Cemetery Fund.
