Jane was a member of First Baptist Church, active in the Gleaners class, Bible Study
Class, Prime Time Singers. She was a TOPS member for twenty-three years, and was an active square dancer in Grin-N-Squares and Kountry Bumkins for many years, until her health started to fail her.
Jane enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed reading, quilting and
crocheting. She also enjoyed cooking, which she was great at doing.
Also surviving are three sons, Richard Edwards, and his wife April, of Plainfield, Ill;
David W. Edwards, and his wife Stephanie, of Sedalia, Rusty Edwards, and his wife Tina, of
Sedalia; ten grandchildren, Freedom Neal, and her husband Chad, Brandon Edwards, Brooke
Moore, and her husband Luke, Christina Wagner, and her husband Josh, Kevin Edwards,
Jessica Edwards, Ashley Edwards, Tyler Edwards, Jason Edwards, and Lindsey Hill; three great grandchildren, Luke Wagner, Kara Neal and Quentin Neal; and a brother Paul Risley of New Jersey; four sister-in-laws, Marcella, Rosella, Jean Edwards and Dortha Countz.
She was predeceased by her parents and six brothers, Jim Risley, Bud Risley, Harry
Risley, Jack Risley, Milton Risley, and Layton Risley.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2006, at Heckart/Gillespie
Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Caston Countz officiating.
Pallbearers will be Lew Edwards, Joe Edwards, Charles Edwards, Donald Lewis, Milton
Kohl, Robert Upton, Chuck Elledge and Bill Arnold.
Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
