home except for traveling during World War II with his plumbing work in Kentucky, Tennessee, Iowa and Missouri. Elwood preceded her in death on October 4, 1970.
Edna was co-owner and secretary of Thompson Plumbing & Heating for over 28 years
and worked at Interstate Studios for 15 years, retiring in 1989. She was a former member of
the Appaloosa and State Fair Saddle Clubs and served as secretary of the State Fair Club
for two years. She loved riding her horse in the annual Christmas parades and on trail rides.
She attended Parkview Christian Church. She enjoyed raising flowers, working in the
yard, playing solitaire, reading, working puzzles and playing ball and companionship with her dog Tye.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Elsie McFatrich of Sedalia, two nieces, Carole Grimes and Marilyn Woolery also of Sedalia, three great nieces and three great great nephews and one great great niece. She was predeceased by two sisters, Leta Pirtle and Mary Nye; one nephew and one great great nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel with Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.
Pallbearers will be Rod Baxter, Rod Baxter, Jr., Troy Buchman, Jon Hiller, Tom Drake, Jay Buchman, Doug Buchman and John Baxter.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Edna Marie Thompson, 91, of Sedalia, died Sunday, April 8, 2007, at Fair View Nursing Home after a short illness.
She was born November 8, 1915, near Clinton, Missouri, a daughter of Thomas Jewel “TJ” and Vatella Logan Snorgrass. She moved to Sedalia at an early age and attended High
