She was a former member of Sedalia Garden Club #7, Knife and Fork Club and BPWC. She helped with  Joy Lamb’s Pre- School for 13 years and had lived in Sedalia since 1943.

Survivors include a niece, Becky James, of Leawood, Kan.; three great nephews,
Kirk Curry, Alden Curry, both of Louisiana, and Greg Russell, of Leawood, Kan.; a great niece, Christy Wall, of Leawood, Kan.; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Kirkpatrick, of Sedalia. She was predeceased by three brothers, Marcellus Kirkpatrick, Thomas
Kirkpatrick and C.E. Kirkpatrick.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2006, at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Don Kelley officiating.

Pallbearers will be Merlin Balke, Scott Balke, Fritz Strodman, Gary Creek, Larry
Whipple, Kenneth Walker and George Cooper. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobbie
Balke, Ernie Gehlken and Scott Hunnel.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the

Edna Kathryn Wilson, 89, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at Fair View Nursing Home.

She  was  born on Dec. 6, 1916, in LaMonte, a daughter of the late Jodie E. and Margaret Elizabeth (Schupp) Kirkpatrick. In 1947, she was married to Joseph Fredrick Wilson, who died Dec. 20, 1988.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She worked as a sales clerk for JC Penney department store for 20 years.
