Mr. Floyd was a member of First Baptist Church of Sedalia, and a member of
the Masonic Lodge and Shrine Club in Illinois. He was a veteran of the Air Force.
He was an avid photographer. He enjoyed hunting big game, watching University of Illinois athletics, and visiting Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He and his wife traveled often, visiting friends and missionaries around the world.
Also surviving are a son, David Carroll Floyd, and his wife, Mickey, of Sedalia;
a sister, Nellie Cripe, of Vandalia, Illinois; and two granddaughters, Amanda Carroll Fisher, and her husband, Greg, of Humble, Texas, and Meaghan Melinda Regashus, and her husband, Matt, of Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Don Floyd and Carl Floyd; and a sister,
Areta Gallaher.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at First United
Methodist Church in Greenville, Illinois, with the Rev. Tim Pate.
Pallbearers will be Matt Regashus, Todd Metzger, Alfred Floyd, Dr. Michael
Fleissner, Marvin Reed, Alan Lovell and Dennis Anderson.
Burial will be in Payne Cemetery in Tamalco, Illinois.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at Heckart/Gillespie
Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to First Baptist Church of Sedalia, in care of the funeral home.
Harold Marcus Floyd, 92, of Sedalia, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.
He was born Feb. 18, 1913, in Keyesport, Illinois, a son of Armonia J. “A.J.” and Emma Carroll Floyd. On May 26, 1945, at First United Methodist Church, in Greenville, Illinois, he was married to Aurelia Mansholt, who survives of the home.
