Mr. Moon retired from Adco, Inc.. He enjoyed square dancing, gardening, and watching auto races.
In addition to his wife, survivors include four sons, Monte Moon, and his wife, Pam, Garry Moon, and his wife, Donna, Dale Moon, and his wife, Cathy, and Larry Moon, all of Sedalia; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five step-great- grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Miner, of Osage Beach.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Bobby Moon, in infancy, and Oscar Moon; and a sister, Sylvia Stevenson.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tony Chapman officiating.
Casket bearers will be Monte Moon, Garry Moon, Dale Moon, Larry Moon, Mike Hodges, and Dennis Hodges.
Honorary bearers will be Don Lewis, Richard Coats, Jim Edwards, Paul Baker, Steve Bergman, and Irvin Parks.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Freddie Moon, 83, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, October 23, 2009, at his home.
He was born September 22, 1926, in Sedalia, a son of Fred Harrison and Maggie Rodekohr Moon. On August 22, 1948, in Sedalia, he married Doris Colaflower, who survives of the home.
