Mrs. Fosdick attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sedalia. She taught Bible study. She was a member of Esther Circle. She taught typing, short hand and accounting in high school and college, retiring in 1972. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ. Her favorite pastime was playing Scrabble.
Survivors include three daughters, Mari Stocking, and her husband, Dean, of Sedalia, Sue Wardeman, of Lakeland, Florida, and Julie Swanberg, and her husband, Don, of Fallon, Nevada; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; six brothers, Arnold, Carl, and Robert Braunschweig, all of Iowa, Rienhold Braunschweig, of Wisconsin, Victor Braunschweig, of Oklahoma, and Bernard Braunschweig, of Colorado; three sisters, Cornelia Warkentien, of Minnesota, Annette Braunschweig, of Florida, and Anna Huseman, and her husband, Herbert, of Wisconsin.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Theodore, Ottomar and Gerhardt Braunschweig; and a sister, Elenora Honsbruch.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with Pastor Ken Tatkenhorst officiating.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Stocking, Shane Wallen, Bill Walker and Steve Braunschweig.
Burial will be in Ft. Snelling Veterans Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Heckart Funeral Home.

Verona G. Fosdick, 87, of Windsor, died Sunday, September 21, 2008, at Windsor Healthcare and Rehab Center.
She was born August 14, 1921, in Potter, Nebraska, a daughter of Otto A. and Lisette Henrietta Louise Gerike Braunschweig. In 1960, in Fallon, Nevada, she married Ted Burton Fosdick, who died in December of 1995.
